Home Watch is a visual inspection of a vacant or seasonal property, performed by a trained professional looking for obvious signs of damage, malfunction, or irregular activity. If an issue or potential concern is identified, the homeowner is immediately notified, allowing for prompt action.
Interior Home Watch & System Inspections
During each visit, Lighthouse carefully inspects the interior of your property, including:
General Interior Checks

Reset clocks on appliances following power outages

Confirm all doors and windows are locked and secure

Inspect garage areas for attempted access, pests, or mechanical issues

Open and close garage doors to confirm proper operation

Check for signs of rodents or insects
Mechanical & Home Systems

Inspect boilers and hot water heaters for leaks or corrosion

Check boiler pressure (PSI) gauges

Monitor oil and propane levels

Exterior Home Watch Inspections
During each visit, Lighthouse carefully inspects the exterior of your property, including:

Evaluating the condition of lawn care or snow removal services

Checking generator readiness and/or remote monitoring systems

Marine Watch Services
For homeowners with boats or waterfront properties, Lighthouse Property Management offers Marine Watch as a separate, complementary service. Marine Watch provides visual oversight to help identify obvious signs of damage, malfunction, storm impact, or irregular activity while your vessel is unattended.

Marine Watch is offered as a separate service. NHWA accreditation applies to residential Home Watch services as defined by the National Home Watch Association.

Jim Badeau
Principal
Jim holds a degree in Business Management with a minor in Economics from Rhode Island College. A resident of the South Shore for over 35 years, Jim brings decades of experience in construction and related business ownership. Having overseen and managed multiple renovations and construction projects across his career, Jim brings a practical, results-driven approach to property oversight and approaches every project with the customer's interests in mind, ensuring attention to detail, thoughtful organizational strategy, and quality outcomes.
Greg Hunter
Principal
Greg earned his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College. In addition to his professional career as a CFO, he has owned and operated construction-related businesses and spent over 30 years restoring and renovating homes (and boats!)—from historic antiques to modern construction—giving him a keen eye for detail and potential risk.
